Nihon-bashi is the center of Edo. Nihon-bashi is the original point of milliary in Japan. Left side is fish market. Upper right is Edo Castle. And you can see Fuji Mountain far away.

Who is Hiroshige Utagawa?

Hiroshige was one of the last great Ukiyo-e artists in that tradition. His art is famous for beautiful indigo blue as well as its bold contrast among Europe and America. This blue is known as Japan Blue or Hiroshige Blue. Hiroshige’s One Hundred Famous Views of Edo greatly influenced French Impressionists such as Monet. Vincent Van Gogh copied two of the One Hundred Famous Views of Edo, which were among his collection of ukiyoe prints.
